Madden is WAY too tough on the rookies nowadays. no they arent, theyre rookies, even matt ryan was raw garbage in his first few games in the nfl. Theyre there to be sculpted and very rarely do you see immediate impact within the first game or two. Im glad the best rated rookie each year is like 85, its something EA actually gets right in the game.

I know Ryan's first career pass was a long TD, and I'm not sure of the stats but I'll look it up later for his first few games. And even then, they need to have better player progression if they're gonna rate rooks low.

pat white full rating why even post this, its just as easy to look at 2nd round ratings.... FULL rating not only overall thanks I didnt notice that when I checked the site yesterday.....again why? How many people are really going to be driven away from him even if his arm strength is in the mid 80's if he is a game changer.

Madden is WAY too tough on the rookies nowadays. there is a new scale of ratings...so everybody is gonna have a lower rating...could you reely see pat white getting a 61 rating? This is correct. EA is scaling back the rating system so that your average 2nd stringer is in the mid 70's or so, not up in the 80's.

Not only that, they're making it so that the Star players are actually that much more coveted. So say a randy moss will still have a rating around 97 or whatever so he'll stand out more. And they're making it harder to come by with players who excel in certain areas, especially in the speed category. Hence players that really are fast will stand out more like they do in real life. Basically they're trying to make it harder to come by superstars.
