| I hope to get all the FAs done hopefully tomorrow, more likely Monday. FA will begin Monday night. When a bid has stood for 24 hours having not been raised, the player is then signed. This is how you calculate how many FA points you get: 5 + losses * 5 (tie = 1/2 of a loss). Standings are here: https://madden09league.forummotion.com/2009-season-archives-f89/2008-2009-nfl-rankings-t1111.htmSo the Bills would have 50 points, Browns would have 32.5, etc. There are a few types of free agency bids. Needs bid -- This is a 0 point bid. You can only use a needs bid if you have a need at that position (aka you don't have enough players at the position, not that your players are bad). Needs bids may only be used on players rated below 70. If someone else wants to outbid, they can bid one point and you can't have the player for free anymore. Practice Squad bid (PS bid) -- This is a 0 point bid also. Same rules apply as for needs bid except you can use a PS bid on anyone. Normal bid -- Begins at 1 point. Once the bidding reaches double digits, you must outbid by 2. To save time, I'm just making a list of all the players. If you want to bid on a player who doesn't have a thread yet, create a thread which includes the player's name, overall, and age as stated in the list. Here is the signing scale: Needs bid/PS bid - 1 year 1-5 pts - <3 years 6-15 pts - <4 years 16-25 pts - <5 years 26-35 pts - <6 years 36-45 pts - <7 years +46 - <8 years Any other questions, feel free to ask. | |

| I'm confused on how many points I have...
Would I have 38? I'm sorry for being such a hassle but I'm new to these types of leagues. And you can also trade for fa points can't you?
can you please tell me how many points I have?

You gotta use your "()" to be clear...... Even though I am a Math Major I know a lot of people out there hate Math. Although, for a team like mine who had 5 losses last season, order of operations ends up at the same total both ways

Although, for a team like mine who had 5 losses last season, order of operations ends up at the same total both ways 5 + (5*5) = 30 (5 + 5) *5 = 50 and your team had 6 losses

I like this guy. Active, enthusiastic. It would be awesome to have this league up and running at a high volume.

| Sorry for not posting up FAs, I was at my friend's house in the afternoon, and the internet is being really annoying (I'm on my Mom's laptop now). I'll work on FAs. Won't finish them till tomorrow though. | |

| I have a question...
For a FA who doesn't have a topic devoted to him (ala Ryan Grant), how are you supposed to bid on him? Do you just make a new topic entitled Ryan Grant?
Thanks. | |

| Tonight most likely. I can easily finish the FAs in an hour and a half or so, but I'm going out this afternoon, so I'll finish em tonight.
Assume an FA opening of around 8 PM EST, will update that later in the day though.

| Basically, many FAs are FAs even though they shouldn't be. I need someone to track them and match them with their correct team. I can do this, but if I do, I can't open FA till this weekend. | |

| Yeah I would have asked in the admin forum like usual but you're the only one who's been helping out, which isn't fair to you since you have to run the NBA sim. I hoped someone else would step up. | |
